Accessing the platform
The CoppelBox platform runs in your web browser — there is nothing to install. It works on desktop and mobile browsers alike; on a phone the layout adapts automatically.
Your account is created for you by an administrator. You will receive an email address and a temporary password to sign in with the first time.
Signing in

- Open the platform in your browser.
- Enter your Email and Password, then select Sign In.
First sign-in: set a new password
If you were given a temporary password, you'll be taken to a Change Password screen after your first sign-in. Choose a new password that meets all of the listed requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- One uppercase letter (A–Z)
- One lowercase letter (a–z)
- One number (0–9)
- One special character (!@#$%^&*)
Each requirement ticks green as your new password satisfies it. Confirm the password and submit — you'll be signed in straight away.
Forgotten your password?
Select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email address. You'll be emailed a verification code; enter the code together with a new password (same requirements as above) to reset it, then sign in as normal.
The layout: header, navigation drawer, org selector
Once signed in, the app has a deliberately simple layout:
- Header (top bar) — the platform logo on the left (click it any time to return to the Fleet Dashboard), and on the right:
- a Report an issue button (the small face icon) if it's enabled for your account — see Reporting an Issue;
- an organisation filter drop-down (only shown to administrators and master-organisation users) with My Org, All Orgs, and each specific organisation you can see;
- the menu button (☰) which opens the navigation drawer. A small red dot on it means you have unread support-ticket replies.
- Navigation drawer — slides in from the right when you tap the menu button. This is the single navigation surface on both desktop and mobile.
- Main area — the Fleet Dashboard by default.

At the top of the drawer you'll see your signed-in email address plus two pills: your role (for example VIEWER, EDITOR, ADMIN, or SUPER) and your organisation.
The drawer items, top to bottom:
| Item | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Fleet Dashboard | Everyone |
| Users | Admins and Super-Users |
| Organizations | Admins and Super-Users |
| Fleet Management | Admins and Super-Users |
| Config Presets | Admins and Super-Users |
| Factory Allocation | Super-Users only |
| Support Tickets | Everyone (shows a red count badge when you have unread replies) |
| Settings | Everyone |
| Sign Out | Everyone |
Selecting any item closes the drawer and takes you there. You can also close the drawer with the × button, by tapping outside it, or by pressing Esc.
Finding your way around
- The Fleet Dashboard is home. It lists every device you have access to, with live status. See Fleet Dashboard for how to read it.
- Click a device card to select it — a selected device has a blue border and its relay buttons become live (if your role allows control). See Working with a Device.
- The organisation filter in the header (administrators only) narrows the dashboard to one organisation, or shows everything with All Orgs.
- A small connection pill in the bottom-right corner shows your real-time link to the platform, e.g.
Real-time: 3/3. Green means live updates are flowing; click it for per-device connection detail. - Everything you see updates in real time — there is no need to refresh the page.
What you can do throughout the app depends on your role — a Viewer can look but not touch, an Editor can switch relays, and Admin/Super-User roles unlock the admin tools. See Roles & Permissions.
